More than three years ago I accidently saw news that the mammootty-hariharan-m.t.vasudevan nair team is again joining for another movie named “pazhassi raja” after twenty years. From that day I was waiting and my wish got satisfied just now.  But I am not sad for such a wait. “The Hollywood film born in Malayalam cinema” is the correct epithet to pazhassi raja.

The pazhassi raja is safe in the hands of mammootty. The tamil hero sharath kumar is performed very well as edachana kunkan.

The right hand of edachana kunkan is kaitheri ambu which also done very well by suresh Krishna. The tribal leader chanthu is another lucky character in manoj.k.jayan’s film life. Padmapriya is the pair of manoj.k.jayan and she give life to neeli which shows the patriotism of tribal people. kaniha is the kaitheri makkam.

This is the first work of the Oscar winner rasool pootkkutty in Malayalam and he done it by very accurately. The story begins with the British governance and the whole main characters are introduced in very naturally but amazingly.

The cinema tells about the story of the king pazhassi raja who fought against the English east india company during 17th centuary.The cinema shows only
the little time period of the king pazhassi raja and his consummation.  The fightin sequences by thyagarajan and mafiya sasi was great. It is really appreciable that they didn’t forget to use the fight in the style of “kalari payattu”. The main actors in malayalam cinema like thilakan,jagathy sreekumar,jagatheesh,captain raju,lalu alex,etc are also gives prettiness to the film. The film is produced by gokulam gopalan and I would like to congratulate him for willing to do such a great thing…
